Already on my first short visit to Slovenia in 1998 I was enthralled by idyllic Bled. Six years later, a business opportunity brought me here again and I stayed. After eleven years of living in Slovenia I still value the incredibly beautiful and diverse nature in this small corner of the world. Lakes and sea, mountains and plains, everything such a short distance away. Invaluable! I also like Slovenians because they take time for life after work and like to socialise. They do not allow this to be taken away from them. Slovenia is still considered one of the safest countries in the world and I hope it stays that way. However, bureaucracy is an area where there is still a lot of room for improvement, particularly in the direction of faster and better solutions, although things are slowly changing for the better. In a quarter of a century of its independence, Slovenia has already made a hard journey and gained a lot of experience which helps it grow. I believe this country has a wonderful and successful future before it, mostly due to us, the people who value it. Happy 25th anniversary, Slovenia!
