Snowboarder Rok Marguč became the best Slovenian snowboarder of all times

Snowboarder Rok Marguč won the gold medal in parallel slalom at the World Championship, and thus became the best Slovenian snowboarder of all times.

Tina Maze won gold and silver medals in Schladming

Tina Maze won the gold medal in super G at the World Alpine Ski Championship; later on she won silver in super combined and giant slalom.

Alenka Bratušek was elected a PM designate

The National Assembly gave a constructive vote of no confidence to the Government of Janez Janša. Alenka Bratušek, leader of her parliamentary group, was the first woman in the history of Slovenia to be elected a PM designate. Janko Veber became the President of the National Assembly (Social Democrats).

Tina Maze wins the big crystal globe

Tina Maze concluded the alpine skiing World Cup finals by winning the competition in giant slalom. She was the first Slovenian to win the big crystal globe with an outstanding total of 2,414 points, as well as two small crystal globes in giant slalom, super G, and in combined; in the overall slalom and downhill ski standing she took second place.

The 11th Slovenian government was elected

After the leaders of the Positive Slovenia, the Social Democrats, the Civic List and the Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia signed the coalition agreement on 13 March, the National Assembly appointed the eleventh Slovenian Government, with 52 votes for and 35 votes against, It had 13 ministers (2 female), of these one without portfolio. The Positive Slovenia was entrusted with the leadership of five ministries, the Social Democrats and the Civil List with three ministries each, while two ministries were entrusted to the Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia.

Medal Harvest for Slovenian judokas at the European Championship

At the European Championship, judoka Rok Drakšič won the gold medal (up to 78 kg) and Tina Trstenjak the bronze (up to 63 kg);  a day later, Judoka Lucija Polavder won the title of European Champion (over 78 kg) while Ana Velenšek won a silver medal (up to 78 kg).

An informal summit of the Brdo Process, hosted by the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor, and the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipović, was also attended by six leaders of the Western Balkan countries.
