First early parliamentary elections held in independent Slovenia

The first early parliamentary elections held in independent Slovenia were won by Zoran Jankvić's List ¬ Positive Slovenia with 28.51 percent of the vote and 28 mandates, respectively. SDS won 26.19 percent of the vote (26 mandates). These were followed by SD (10.52%, ten mandates), Gregor Virant's Civic List (8.37%, 8 mandates), DeSUS (6.97%, six mandates), SLS (6.83%, six mandates) and NSi (4.88%, four mandates). Voter turnout was 65.60 percent.
