Association of Slovenians Educated Abroad

The Association of Slovenians Educated Abroad includes over 500 Slovenians, located in more than 25 countries in the world, who obtained their education abroad or did research work in foreign institutions. The average age of the members of this association, which was established in 2013, is similar to the current age of the state of Slovenia – we were born with Slovenia, grew up together and gained an education. Today we are upgrading and expanding our knowledge all over the world. Our goal is to support the circulation of knowledge between Slovenia and the rest of the world and to connect successful Slovenians beyond the borders of the homeland. We believe that opening the door to knowledge from abroad, sharing ideas and strengthening the cooperation among Slovenian scientists are key to the success of the entire country. We look at Slovenia with slightly more critical eyes, but always convinced of its great potential and many hidden talents. On the 25th anniversary of Slovenia’s independence we, the Association of Slovenians Educated Abroad, wish Slovenia a happy anniversary, with the message that we love it and calling for the promotion of our efforts for a more intensive circulation of knowledge between Slovenians at home and abroad.
