The exhibition “The role of diplomatic activities in the establishment of Slovenia as an independent state,” marking the 25th anniversary of Slovenia’s statehood, represents a brief and concise overview of the period between the appointment of the first Slovenian Government, which carried out the Slovenian independence process (16 May 1990), and the admission of Slovenia to the UN (22 May 1992). During this period, the new Slovenian diplomacy (and foreign policy) also began. The process of Slovenian diplomacy becoming independent ran parallel with the process that led to the state’s independence, as demonstrated by the exhibition. The material is part of the archive stock at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
