In 2016, the National Youth Council of Slovenia (MMS) organised a competition for the MMS Award for the best bachelor or master’s thesis addressing the subject of the youth for the seventh consecutive year. The final ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 5th April 2016 at 3 p.m. Minister of Education, Science and Sport Maja Makovec Brenčič and MSS Chairman Tin Kampl will address the guests at the award ceremony. 

A total of 48 applicants participated in the competition, of which 19 applied their bachelor thesis under the Bologna system and 26 applied their master's thesis under the Bologna system or undergraduate theses under the old system. The key criteria in selecting the best undergraduate or master's thesis addressing a subject related to the youth included the topicality, applicability and insight, mainly from the perspective of the MMS and the issues addressed by the MMS in its work as well as in the view of current developments in the field in general.
